'Use SACCOs To Improve Your Household Incomes, Businesses' -ONC Coordinator Urge Nansana Market Vendors

Market vendors in Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District have been urged to utilize their Savings and Credit Co-operatives (SACCOs) – the small community membership-based financial institutions as a tool for building trust amongst themselves if they are to grow and achieve success within their circles.

The rallying call was made to the vendors by Mr Bagenda Happy John, the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Coordinator for Nansana Municipality, accompanied by Mr Kiganda Yusuf, the Muzukulu Coordinator who represented the ONC Boss, SPA/PA Hajati Hadijjah Namyalo at the Nansana Municipality Market Vendors SACCO Annual General Meeting on Monday, March 04, 2024.

During the meeting, the ONC coordinators conveying the message from the ONC Boss emphasized the importance of proper accountability of SACCO funds and conducting SACCO business with transparency.

They also highlighted the significance of building trust among SACCO members for the growth and success of the organization and encouraged the members to actively engage in attracting and recruiting new members to the SACCO.

“By expanding the membership base, the SACCO can increase its profit and loan portfolios, ultimately leading to improved household income for residents in and around Nansana,” said Mr Bagenda while addressing the vendors during the meeting.

At the same function, the ONC coordinator endorsed the JajjaTovaKumain campaign telling the vendors that come what may, Jajja Museveni will be a candidate on the 2026 ballot paper which attracted ululations from the members who expressed their unwavering support for the President’s visionary leadership and conveyed their commitment to him.

President Museveni through his NRM National Chairman (ONC) empowers regional and district coordinators with the task of getting involved in the active monitoring of government projects and programmes to ensure the tax-payers money is put to good use and accounted for.
