Revealed! Inside President Museveni’s Meeting With Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere
President Museveni yesterday engaged in discussions with His Highness Charles Wesley Mumbere, the Omusinga of the Rwenzururu Kingdom, marking their first meeting since the November 2016 Palace attack.
President Museveni revealed that during the closed door meeting, the Kingdom presented new objectives focusing on peace, reconciliation and social economic transformation.
”I am happy that the Kingdom has outlined new objectives centered around peace, reconciliation, and socio-economic transformation, aligning perfectly with our vision and historic mission in the NRM” President Museveni said.
”I’m delighted that during our meeting, we reached an understanding that we won’t repeat any regressive conflicts. Cultural heritage should continue to play a vital role, highlighting the interconnectedness of our people” Museveni added.
In a recent message addressed to the Omusinga, President Museveni urged collaboration to eradicate the rebel outfit ADF from the Rwenzori region. Additionally, the President sought the Omusinga’s assistance in enhancing security measures and fostering social and economic development within the region.
