Police Football Club has launched a show dubbed the Police Football Club Show FC show on SuperSport TV channel as one of the off-pitch strategies to promote the Club and looking forward to return to the Uganda premier league.

The show will air on various SuperSport channels on DSTV for a period of one-year. The move aims at fostering the objectives of the club and provide a platform that will expose the club to the global market.

According to Police FC Chairman, SCP Halango Timothy, the partnership with the Super Sport will not only promote and market the players but also Uganda’s tourism industry globally especially at right time when Uganda has won the Pamoja bid to host African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2027 along side Kenya and Tanzania.

SCP Halango further noted that this is a great opportunity to give Uganda’s Ex international foot ball players jobs to showcase their skills and talents as couches as to train the young people that Police FC is yet to recruit.

Speaking during the launch at Fairway Hotel in Kampala on Tuesday evening, Timothy Batabaire, former Uganda Cranes captain and one of the many retired players said that this is a great opportunity to promote Police FC’s objectives to the global market.

”This will create an opportunity where we shall create avenues to engage other foot ball clubs to partner with us and prepare players for life after football,” Batabaire said.

According to Timothy Kwenaite, a sports analyst at super Sport channel, this partnership is a platform for transformation to promote football as another form of trade to sell Uganda globally in terms of sports and tourism.

”Police FC had a vision to understand that in order to market yourself in today’s business, you have to partner with television that can expose you and your brand to the wider audience” Kwenaite said during the launch.

Police FC was formed in 1965 with a mission to be a football club that upholds community values and promote carrier development as community policing tool to avert criminality in the society.
