ONC Manager Hajjat Namyalo Boosts Masaza Cup Finals With Tickets Worth UGX 21 Millions

Office of the National Chairman(ONC) manager Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye distributed over 1,000 tickets (both ordinary and VIPs) to fans, supporters and Bazzukulu to watch live Masaza Cup Final 2023 currently happening at At Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.

According to Hajjat Namyalo the tickets were bought by her boss President Museveni to support the organizers of Masaza Cup and enable youths to watch the Masaza cup finals as well as supporting local football as an avenue that brings people together especially the youths regardless of their political affiliations.

The tickets worth UGX 21 millions were earlier on handed over By Hajjat Namyalo to Mr JB Wamala on behalf of finalists Gomba FC at their offices based in Kyambogo.

Speaking during the handover, Hajjat Namyalo noted that much as her boss emphases hard work and self empowerment, having fun and is part of life and people especially the youths cannot do away with it thus the need to support them.

The organizing committee of the Masaza cup have revealed the this much needed support from the Office of the National Chairman will boost their activities further applauding Hajjat Namyalo and President Museveni for the support.

In the Masaza Cup Finals, five-time winners Gomba (Champions in 2004, 2009, 2014, 2017 and 2020) will take on two-time winners Bulemeezi (2012 and 2018) in the grand finale at 3 PM.


Huge crowds have already gathered at Wankulukuku Stadium to attend the climax of this year’s championship whose winner is guaranteed a trophy, winners’ gold medals and UGX.Shs 12,000,000.

It remains a close contest come the final since there is a lot to play for with both camps fully charged up.

“Gates at Wankulukuku will officially open at 8 AM to allow the football-thirsty fans access the stadium smoothly.” Sulaiman Ssejjengo, chairperson of the local organizing committee.

Gomba will miss goalkeeper Tonny Atugonza (accumulated cautions) and head coach Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza on the touchline for a send-off in the previous game.


In the same vein, Mawokota’s defender David Opio is also suspended with cautions against Buweekula in quarter-finals and Mawokota during the semi-finals.

Before that Buddu and Mawokota will fight for the third-place play-off duel at noon.
Telecommunications company Airtel Uganda is the platinum sponsor for the championship.

Other partners include Centenary Bank, UNAIDS, paints company Kansai Plascon, cbs f.m, bbs terefaina among others.

The tournament does not permit players who have played for the Uganda Cranes (senior national team), Uganda Kobs (U-23), Uganda Hippos (U-20), Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League.
