Uganda Airlines Chief Executive Office(CEO) Jenifer Bamuturaki along with other airline officials made a maiden trip to South Africa on 26th February 2022 to accompany President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the ongoing South Africa Uganda Business & Investment Summit.

The Summit has kicked off today and will run till tomorrow, 28th February 2023, at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand.

However, according to our sources, Bamuturaki didn’t just accompany her boss but also went to lobby and make other deals for Uganda Airlines which has already yielded results with one more weekly flight to the Airlines’ schedule.

Since May 2021, Uganda Airlines was operating four weekly flights to South Africa but now with the newly added flight, starting 1st March 2023, the Airline will be operating five flights from Entebbe International Airport to Johannesburg and back to Entebbe on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.  

Here’s How To Book Your Flight     

The Airline’s highly secure payment platform makes payments simple by allowing you to pay using Credit/Debit cards, mobile payments and cross-border payments and accepts all card payments; Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Paypal.

Also, you can pay with cross-border mobile money Mpesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, MTN (MTN Zambia, Uganda & Rwanda).

Once you’ve booked your flight online or through Airline’s Customer Centre, you can pay quickly and securely using MasterCard, Visa or American Express.

Passengers can make their booking online and make the payment within 24 hours of making the booking. This option allows them to make their booking now and get time to make schedule changes without making the payment within the 24-hour mark.

If you wish to pay using cash or mobile money, select the ‘Pay later’ option when you book your flight online or through Airline’s Customer Centre. You can then pay at the Airport or at any of the Airline’s Branch offices.

Also, note that the pay-at-the-airport option is available for flights departing within the next 24 hours. The pay-at-airport option allows customers to make reservations online and make the payment at the airport two hours before flight departure time.

Meanwhile, If you’re travelling in Economy Class, your booking will be on hold for 4 hours allowing you time to make the payment. You must pay for your flight within 4 hours.

If you’re travelling in Business Class, you’ll have 4 hours to make the payment. If your flight booking has both Economy and Business Class as part of your trip, you must pay for your flight within 4 hours.
