Giving Back To The People! President Museveni Donates Food Items To Residents Of Nakawa Division Ahead Of Festive Season

As one one of the ways to give back to the people especially during the festive season, President Museveni through his Office of the National Chairman(ONC) has donated food items to thousands of residents in Nakawa Division in Kampala.

The food items including, rice, posho, beans among others were handed over to the residents in Banda-Kasenyi, Kinamwandu, and Acholi Quarters both in Nakawa Division by ONC manager Hajjat Namyalo Hadijah Uzeiye.

While handing over the food items, Hajjat Namyalo who also doubles as the Senior Presidential advisor on political affairs noted that her response call came after several residents in Nakawa thronged her office with different needs especially food compelling her to deliver the message to her boss President Museveni who responded positively with a budget to purchase the food items which have been delivered to his people.

While as the people of Nakawa applauded Hajjat Namyalo and her team for thinking about them especially at this time of need, residents of Acholi Quarters cried out to Namyalo to help them with the issue of land grabbers who are at the verge of evicting them and they have no where to go with their families.

Residents further implored Namyalo to follow up government funds that have been distributed through Emyooga and Parish development model(PDM) noting that non of them has been able to benefit from the funds.

After receiving food items, residents through their Councilor, Mukoiko Ismail commended Hajjat Namyalo and President Museveni for remembering the voters noting that ONC under Namyalo’s leadership has set an example for other government officials to reach to the locals and address their challenges with the attention they deserve.

Adding this voice on behalf of the residents, the Chairman for NRM Nakawa Division, Nichols Arinaitwe applauded ONC office under the stewardship of Hajjat Namyalo for helping the needy in his area further tasking them to take advantage of the government programs like Emyooga and PDM to improve on their house hold incomes.

While speaking to Nakawa residents, Namyalo implored government officials especially those in family protection to sensitize the people especially teenagers on early pregnancies as one of the biggest challenges in Nakawa division.

After distributing through Nakawa, Hajjat Namyalo further noted that her office is still reaching out to more areas in need especially in Kampala Ghettos with the food distribution campaign.

Under the leadership of Hajjat Namyalo, the Kyambogo based office is championing jobs and wealth creations for all Ugandans as proposed by President Museveni to get every Ugandan into the money economy. Via the same Namyalo has thus empowered youths, women groups and individuals with start up capital items in different parts of the country, something that has restored hope among Ugandans.
