Students studying business courses at Jinja Road-based Victoria University (VU) are set to reap big after the university inked a 2+1 partnership with the University of the West of England Bristol (UWE Bristol).
The University of the West of England is a public research university, located in and around Bristol, England, UK. With more than 30,000 students and 3,000 staff, it is the largest provider of higher education in the South West of England.
As part of its commitment to providing a transformative educational environment and in line with its internationalization agenda, VU says some of the students especially those offering business courses will be lucky to nail their final year of study at UWE Bristol in the United Kingdom.
”We are excited to announce our 2+1 partnership with the prestigious University of the West of England Bristol (UWE Bristol) for the following VU programs: BSc Banking and Finance, BA(Hons) International Business, BA(Hons) Business and Human Resource Management, BA(Hons) Information Technology,” announced the University.
The University says this partnership allows its students to complete their second year (2.2) at VU before heading to UWE Bristol for their final year of study.
”Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn both a VU and UWE Bristol degree, and they will also be eligible for the current UK two-year post-study work permit,” further announced VU management.
To be eligible to cross to UWE Bristol, Victoria University says a student must have a CGPA of 2.8 and above and meet the English language requirements.
”While the partnership opens doors to an international study experience, each student will be responsible for covering the costs of travel, tuition, and living expenses in Bristol during the final year of study. However, UWE Bristol may offer partnership scholarships to exceptional students,” says Victoria University.
“We are thrilled to inform prospective applicants that we have made studying business courses at Victoria University more rewarding than ever,” says VU management. “This is an incredible opportunity to enhance your educational journey and gain valuable international experience. We encourage students to take advantage of this chance to broaden their horizons and set themselves apart in business.
