Bulemeezi Wins 2023 Masaza Cup Finals After Beating Gomba 1-0

The Saza (county) of Bulemeezi has won the 2023 Masaza Cup competitions after defeating Gomba 1-0.

It wasn’t possible for Gomba to win a record sixth title as they hoped. The battle held at the Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku was graced by the Prime Minister Of Buganda Kingdom Charles Peter Mayiga.

This year’s edition has been the nineteenth edition since the Masaza Cup tournament was revived, back in 2004. In many ways, it is a tournament that has come of age, especially as far as its popularity is concerned.

When Gomba reached the knockout stages, they beat Singo both at home and away. They registered a 4-1 aggregate win. In the semifinals, they dismissed one of their fiercest rivals, Buddu, 3-1 on aggregate. The passion Gomba has from its fans has been tremendous over the years, which set the team on more winning streaks than any other team.
