Arsenal Return To The Top Of Premier League Table After Beating Aston Villa 4-2

Arsenal scored two goals deep in stoppage time to secure a crucial win in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners came from behind twice before scoring two late goals to beat Aston Villa 4-2 at Villa Park.

Mikel Arteta’s men were at risk of continuing their poor run of form until a Gabriel Martinelli goal and an Emi Martinez own goal sent the players and fans into raptures.

Aston Villa took the lead early on through Ollie Watkins before Bukayo Saka rocketed in an equaliser.

Philippe Coutinho then gave the hosts the lead again but Arsenal hit back for the second time thanks to Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Gunners then claimed the crucial three points in stoppage time and took their place back at the top of the table.
