Police Arrests Security Guard For Stealing Church money

Kampala: Police in Kamuli have arrested a private security guard identified as Daniel Muwandane, for allegedly stealing Shs30 million that was meant for training pastors in Busoga region.

The suspect is said to have broken into the offices of Ground-breaking Ministries, located at Namwenda Road in Northern Division, Kamuli Municipality, Kamuli District before taking off with the money.

According to the police spokesperson Fred Enanga, after receiving the report, the District Crime Intelligence tracked Muwandane down after the K9 dog was introduced to the scene and led to his home where police arrested him from.

Enanga adds that Upon arrest, the task team also recovered Shs27.2m on him which was exhibited.

“They found when he had packed his belongings and escaped to his home district in Amolatar. He was swiftly tracked down by the District Crime Intelligence team and arrested. The task team also recovered Ugx 27.2m on him which was exhibited.” Enanga said.
