Ministry Of Finance Blocks Unvaccinated Staff, Visitors From Accessing Their Premises

Kampala; Finance Ministry has made it mandatory for staff and visitors to present Covid-19 vaccination cards as a requirement for accessing their premises,
According to an internal memo from the office of the permanent secretary, Ramathan Ggoobi, the new guidelines are effective starting today Monday 13/12/2021.
”Over time, the ministry has encouraged all staff to get vaccinated including carrying out vaccinations at the ministry premises, officers who have not been vaccinated are required to ensure that they are vaccinated as soon as possible” Gggobi said.
”In view of the above, all staff are required to present the vaccination card at the main gate as a pre-requisite for accessing the ministry premises”. he added.
Ggoobi noted that vaccination not only protects an individual but also those in the communities around them adding that the new addition is in line with Standard Operating Procedures by the Ministry of Health.
