By Uganda Online Media
Kampala: Rwanda today reopened its land border with Uganda at Gatuna- Katuna post after three years of closure, signaling a slight improvement in relations between the two neighboring countries.
However, the latest news indicates that Uganda passengers have been barred from entering Rwanda.
According to reports, Rwandan authorities at the border were reportedly asking for identification documents, and only Rwandan nationals were allowed to cross.
We have since established that Rwandan officials are only clearing cargo trucks to cross into Rwanda and not passenger vehicles thus prompting an emergency meeting between officials from both sides.
We shall give you an update on the details of the meeting!
