Don’t Cross The Line!- Twitter Blocks Novelist Kakwenza’s Account For Violating Its Rules

Kampala: Ugandan award-winning novelist and government critic Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has been suspended by social media platform Twitter.
According to the company, Kakwenza was suspended for violating Twitter rules.
Kakwenza has been using his social media handle to exchange with different government propagandists in the previous days, engaging in abuse and bitter exchanges.
Kakwenza’s suspension on Twitter follows his imposed exile on Thursday after a month under detention. He said he exited the country through Rwanda en route to Malawi and is said to be headed for Europe
However, Gen Kainerugaba responded in a tweet saying he had called Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame who said Kakwenza was not in Rwanda.
